For more than 40 years, Regatron has been a market leader in the fields of control and motion technology, industrial power electronics and programmable power supplies. TopCon products are used worldwide in manufacturing and in research and development centres.
The customer
The task
The initiative for the project was the planned replacement of the existing software package, UNIControl (C++). The new software needed to completely replace the existing one and offer an extended and more convenient range of functions. In addition, WPF/MVVM had to be used as a future-oriented technology in the UI area.
The solution
The software was developed in close partnership with the Regatron development team. The objective was agile development, whereby Solve and Regatron defined new requirements at frequent and short intervals. In this way, potential changes could be implemented immediately.
Solve actively participated in the design of the interface and, after a few weeks of development, introduced a UI prototype which gave the product managers a first impression. Early profiling allowed problems with performance to be quickly identified and fixed.
